(A spoiler-free gush fest, of course!)

The movie is all about the wonderful journey of the blind character played by our inimitable Zubeen da throughout. And oh, what a grand extravaganza the entire movie was to my eyes! ✨
💃It’s a real treat made out of amazing actors, splendid photography, drone shots that fly with the moments and emotions, the poetic contrast of lights in the outside world and the darkness in the inner worlds of the characters, and the heart-pounding, mesmerizing humming…just to begin with.
🎭Whether it is Raul’s artful dialogues, the magnetic blind (literal) gaze, Neer’s (Joy Kashyap) dashing and smooth dives into the character’s diverse temperament, Mou’s (Mousumi Alifa) gorgeous acting and balancing of a river of emotions- everything seems so natural and raw.
👗💄Garima Garg has done an extraordinary job with the costume. How beautifully the attires of each and every character of the movie woven into the rich culture of our Assam, that’s just incredible!
🎻🎼And the music. It’s Zubeen Da’s voice, friend. What else can I say?! When the magnificence of the song “Roi Roi Binale’ brightened the screen, it felt so divine! I have watched so many movies till today, but nothing… not one song or scene made me feel that way. As if Zubeen Da was just there, on the screen just a few feet away. The entire theatre hall went silent. In that silence, only Zubeen da was there…singing. An enchanted flock of a million fan on the screen were going crazy. Somebody from the audience shouted “Joy Zubeen Da”. I felt, realized, it was at that moment when Assamese Cinema reached a new height, made a new history.
👏Apart from the main characters, the secondary and tertiary characters also did awesome jobs. Saurabh Hazarika, Achurjya Borpatra, Victor Banerjee and Angoorlata poured their hearts into their characters. Memorable characters, commendable oeuvre.💫
🪻🌿Now, coming to the dialogues and writing part- the concept definitely was ambitious. The dialogues were flowing so smoothly in each scene. Words were everything Zubeen Da’s characters could do magic with and he did so well too. The story definitely had a few loopholes. The character arcs of the protagonist and a few other characters seemed a little unfulfilling. Some scenes seemed forced for the sake of the story and sometimes a scene or two were misplaced.
But the upsides? For a 140 minute movie, it felt like an untiring roller-coaster ride (a grand salute to the Director👏👏👏).
You will never a get a chance to get bored. Overwhelmed? You could be. There were so many waves of emotions, the background score, the endless heartfelt humming, the sound, the special effects, the sea, the horrific waves, the sand, the people surrounding, the rain, the smoke, the blood, tears, memories, fights, the calm, the home-food, the sea-food, flowers, and Zubeen Da’s beautiful face and Zubeen Da’s wistful smile and Zubeen Da’s rockstar-style shoes. There was one song in a beach party— makes you dance like those cheerful sea waves.
I feel lucky that I got a chance to watch this movie on the second day of the release itself.
I’ll cherish this movie and the magic of Zubeen Da in my heart for years to come. What else can I say? It feels like the end of a new beginning, an end of what could have been…
Before going away, Zubeen Da has gifted us his legacy to carry on by making this movie. A legacy that will bring a change. A change of perspectives, a change towards progress. And an inspiration: to be like him, to be like water and so much more. 💐💖
